Will Anderson signs for Shields

We are delighted to announce the signing of talented goalkeeper Will Anderson, upon the expiration of his contract at Newcastle United, who immediately joins Newcastle Blue Star on an initial short-term loan.

Anderson (18) spent five years at Newcastle United, making several appearances in the Under 18’s Premier League, and would also be called upon to train with Newcastle United’s first team on numerous occasions.

“I’m buzzing to have signed for the club, and I’m really excited for the future ahead. I’ve been in a few weeks since pre-season, working with Nez (Phil Naisbett), who has been brilliant with me, so I’m pretty settled in already.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting some minutes (with Newcastle Blue Star) under my belt in men’s football and hopefully I can do my bit to help Blue Star get further up the league”

Welcome to the Mariners, Will!
