South Shields earn victory in their penultimate pre-season fixture in a 2-1 win against Consett at Belle Vue.
Dan Savage and Joao Gomes struck early in the first half to give Shields a comfortable lead.
Adam Lennox converted from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute to reduce the scoreline but it wouldn't be enough.
Elliott Dickman's side arrived in County Durham looking for a fourth-consecutive pre-season win.

Gateshead loan duo Jamie Bramwell and Aidan Rutledge both travelled with the squad – the latter starting on the bench.
Shields got off to a storming start as Dan Savage was fed through to comfortably slot the ball home past Consett's James Anderson in the 11th minute.
Joao Gomes made it 2-0 to the Mariners six minutes later – making both goals coming from Academy graduates.
Shields had the better chances of the first half including an Ashton Mee free-kick which would be parried away by Anderson in the 39th minute.
Rutledge replaced Sam Hodgson at half-time to make his debut in Shields colours.
Six minutes after the second half began, Consett had a penalty which was converted by Adam Lennox.
Rutledge came close to a goal in his first game – hitting the post in the 67th minute.
Shields goalkeeper Kyle Seymour denied Isaac Walker an equaliser in the 83rd minute.
Consett would come close to levelling the score late on in the game – hitting the post with five minutes left to play – but it was not to be.
