Match Preview: South Shields FC vs Rushall Olympic

We host Rushall Olympic in the Vanarama National League North tonight in what is a rearranged fixture.

Elliott Dickman has seen his side take 7 points from the last 3 games, scoring 11 goals and conceding 5 against the likes of Farsley Celtic, Alfreton Town, and Peterborough Sports.

South Shields have welcomed two new signings in David Carson who has signed a three and a half year deal with the club, and most recently Tom Allan who joins on loan from Gateshead FC after spending a month of the season on loan at Spennymoor Town.

Currently sitting in 11th place, just 3 points from a play-off spot, South Shields will look to continue their impressive form.

OPPOSITION

The Pics have had a tough start to the 24/25 National League North campaign, winning only 3 games this season, beating Peterborough Sports, Marine and Spennymoor Town.

Most recently, Rushall were knocked out of the FA Trophy by Gainsborough in a 2-1 defeat and their most recent league result was a 3-0 loss to Hereford.

The Pics currently sit in 24th place in the league.

Elliott's Thoughts

"We have really enjoyed our time on the training field with the players since our last game. It has given us a chance to manage the team accordingly, as well as giving some players time to recover from some bumps and bruises.

The intensity level the players are working at is excellent, which has helped us prepare the group for the demands of the busy period leading up to Christmas and beyond. We have also had the opportunity to cement some of our fundamentals into our daily work with us having a free week."
