Dominique Kubik and Daisy Sutton join SSFC Women

South Shields Women are delighted to officially welcome Dominique Kubik and Daisy Sutton to the club! 

Both primarily centre backs, they have been involved with the First Team squad for a number of weeks already and have played a significant part in the team’s pre-season preparations.

Sutton even scored the opener during Shields’ trip to Hartlepool United Women last month.

The two arrivals could make their competitive debuts for the Mariners this Sunday against Rotherham United Women, in the opening game of the NERWFL Premier Division season.

Dominique Kubik said upon joining Shields: “I’m so happy to have signed with a club that has such a great environment.

“I’m excited for the upcoming season; we’ve already seen a lot of improvement throughout pre-season, so I’m hoping we can get some wins.”

Daisy Sutton said after getting on board: “I am delighted to sign for South Shields and I can’t wait for the season to get started.

“It’s a pleasure to be around such a good and welcoming group of girls and coaching staff and I am excited to show everyone my quality and abilities.”

On Dominique:

Rhiannon Gray said: “I’ve been really impressed with Dom since she came into the team.

“She’s played a big part in our pre-season games and added strength to us defensively.

“She’s a great character with excellent work rate, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the impact she can have this season.”

On Daisy:

Rhiannon Gray said: “I’m really happy that we’ve got Daisy on board.

“Having worked with her for a number of years, I know exactly what talent she brings to the group. Not only is she a fantastic player, but she’s also an excellent leader.

“She’ll add real quality both in and out of possession. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact she can have this season.”
